Keybind changes
Unless I'm missing something obvious here, I can change every movement bind except for E. E is always red and will not allow changes (can't Apply). Whatever the problem is, can that be fixed please? Not all of us want to use WASD.

I also am not finding any kind of config file to force it myself, otherwise I wouldn't even bother asking. Hard coded keys are No Bueno.

Should be working - try rebind Use/Interact away from E first. It only blocks if the key you're trying to bind is already bound to something else.

That was actually the first thing I tried.

I will mention that I did try the demo before I bought the game, so maybe that is goofing something up? I don't know how far apart those builds are, so perhaps that has something to do with it?

If so, can you suggest what I might delete to start from a 'clean slate'?

Thanks.

Paste this into windows explorer address bar: %appdata%/MindThunk/CtrlAltEgo
then navigate through to find the .pref file under Profiles/profile.0

The keybindings (and various other settings) are stored in this .pref file so the easiest way to get back to a clean state is to nuke that file, then relaunch the game and it will get freshly recreated. Might be worth keeping a copy of the old .pref file because I might be able to use it to replicate and fix whatever the issue is.

[Before nuking it, if you're familiar with JSON you might fancy hacking in the keybinds you want directly!].

If it still won't work for you after that (it should work!), if you send me your .pref file I'll investigate it here (either email it to ctrlaltego@mindthunk.com or upload it somewhere and link to it).

I managed to edit the file to enable me to use E to move forward, but that was the only way I could get it to work (and afterwards it still shows in red which means I cannot save or apply any other changes if I want to change anything else).

Kind of odd. I did email you the file and an example of the behavior.

I've responded to your email - many thanks for the info - issue now resolved on public beta branch, and will go live to all in patch v1.4.8 (eventually)

Awesome.

Glad me being weird could be useful. :)

I really appreciate the help (love the game by the way).
