how to switch to desktop mode permanantly i dont have vr set

i just bought this game and i opened it i have no vr set but i cant customize myself or hottie because i cant click on any of theoptions . i cant even access the settings menu i need help theres a picture of a vr set controller on the screen w

The problem is two-fold.
1) You need to adjust your resolution (or so I've heard).
2) VR hot is meant to be "VR ONLY". Desktop mode is a design tool to aid in creating Hotties.

It should start automatically in Desktop Mode if you don't have connected a VR headset. Please make sure to use the key commands visible right after start.

The overlapping image of the controllers is apparently connected to resolution according to another player on Discord. He adjusted his resolution and now it's fine.
