HOW TO ADD CARS
If you're wanting to add a car mod that's already been made for SLRR 2.3.1 it's very simple. First, download the mod you want, then browse the local files for SL1 Revision. Inside you'll open a folder titled car_convert. Copy the _data folder and rpk file from the mod into that folder then run the CarConvert.exe and a dos prompt will walk you thru the rest such as setting up when the car unlocks, compatible engine sizes, and compatible wheel sizes.

Oh I also forgot for all you 3d modelers out there. The developer also includes mod tools to create your own vehicles, maps, etc. in the local files in the appropriately named modding_tools

I have yet to find any cars that doesnt end up having a random mesh problem after converting.
was pretty sure they was made for 2.3.1.

Have you had any success with this?

I have transferred the vanilla SLRR cars that aren't in SL1R no problem and did 2 custom mods with the only issue being it couldn't use the default tires since SLRR has wheels and tires separate.

I will probably make some attempts to learn how to add parts such as engines and maybe even figuring out how to make separate sections like for tires and such. I'll post anything I learn of use.

It might have been the fact that the mod used assets from the SLRR vanilla cars that arent in the game and therefore it didnt have the proper mesh and textures.
I'll try to import the SLRR cars.

I'll give it a go as and let you know how it goes.

Where did you find the SLRR cars? (I have that game as well)

They are in the game files under cars/racers. You need to copy and paste the _data folder and rpk file into the car_convert folder then run CarConvert.exe

SLRR workshop mods, at least cars, work for SL1R
