HELP! Looks like my saved game is dead. (won't start)

Hi! I really need some help about loading save file...

after update. when I start and load the saved game.

It's just stuck in the loading curtain.

When loading curtain scene stuck,

It's like game successfully complete loading, shhhhh sound effect coming out,

and stage lights get brighter. And then... nothing just stage curtain and wooden loading picket left.

Can anyone please help me?

Hello!

First of all, terribly sorry about this. I made an error when publishing the latest patch that's causing this issue for a subset of save files.

The fact that the game was unable to load the save fully is a very good thing, as otherwise there would be a risk that the save file would be overwritten by bad data.

We got a small patch in the pipe to address this, next step is to verify it looks good before publishing, and making sure it fixes the issue for y'all!

Many thanks to all of you for reporting! I wouldn't have figured out what was wrong if not for your help.

I still highly appreciate any and all save files you'd like to share with us. I'll try and check through each of them to make sure the patch sorts things out straight. ^^

On Windows save files can be found in:
%appdata%/../LocalLow/Flamebait Games/Passpartout 2
zip and send the steam-#### folder or the savefile contained within :)

Update:

We've now got a candidate for a patch that you can try out early and see if it works for you. You can access it by optiong into the beta branch via Properties... > Betas for the game.

To be safe, I'd recommend making a safety copy of your safe file before attempting to load the files in this patch, in case there is some unrelated issue that this patch doesn't quite address in your particular circumstance. You can find the save files in:
%appdata%/../LocalLow/Flamebait Games/Passpartout 2
in the steam-#### folder.

Please let me know if it works for y'all or not! If there's still any issue I'll dive back in and see what other issues might still be lurking. :)

i tried the beta and it fixed the issue for me! plus it looks like nothing else was broken or lost while trying it. thank you so much!
