Controller support

Steam page says it has full controller support, but I can't get a controller to work with it. Am missing something? Controller only works when I use pig picture mode and switch to the "controller as a keyboard" option. There aren't any controller options in the game settings. I'm prepared to feel like an idiot.

what controler do you have? cuz popular ones like ds4 or the xbox (not a 100% sure on the swtch pro controler) just work
you plug it in to the pc, get a notification that steam detected it and that it baseclly
you lanch the game and if it has part/full support for controlers - it works

if youre using some 3d party thing than you have to cheack forums to see if other people have that problem and what solutions are thare
I used to have a logitech on and i had to baseclly set it up fresh for all games

I tried a steam controller and a wired xbox360 controller. They both registered when connected but I couid still only use keyboard. I didn't go further than the main menu.

Yeah, not sure what's going on. I went past the main menu, got the dialogue from the jester thing and I couid actually hit x on the controller to dismiss the text bubbles but couid t use the controller to select the dialogue options. Got to the game and chose the tutorial. It only gives me keyboard control tutorials. I should mention that steam recognizes the controllers. I get the notification in the corner that the controller is connected. I quit out and then tried another game (trials of mana) and the controller works fine. Any ideas?

I'm actually having the same problem with a wired 360 controller. It sees the controller (you can use a button to get past the first splash screen). Once you get to the main menu however the controller no longer works. Almost like its forcing keyboard controls.

Unfortunately for me I waited too long to boot this up and Steam wont refund it now. Anyone find a workaround?
