Something interesting, but not important
The two games; Lone Sails and Changing Tides, mirror each other. Lone sails is primarily red with the energy being light blue, wile Changing Tides is primarily blue with the energy being red. Also one is on land while the other being in water. Just want to share the idea that I thought of.

Another thing: It seems to me that Lone Sails takes place in a western Asia-like country, possibly a different version of Russia or Germany? While Changing Tides looks like its in Canada or America (caribou/moose, lots of wooden things, artistic building design as opposed to the much starker and angular Lone Sails)

Towards the end of Changing Tides, when you change direction of travel from right to left - basically, playing as 'blue' you enter 'red's world and conform to their perspective. I thought that was an interesting touch as well.

You'll notice that the music changes, as well. Lone Sails has a very "jazzy" sort of style to it, which Changing Tides doesn't really have. However, once the player passes the ice wall, the travel music changes into almost a cover of Lone Sails' motif. This, in addition to meeting a Jan Henriksson logo, along with an old-style blue engine with a rising platform and two of the old game's crates as fuel. There's quite a bit of parity right at the end.
