the pc version has some problems so i recommend the R.E.L.I.V.E. engine for a better experience https://aliveteam.github.io/ . the ps1 version has better audio quality but the pc version has better looking sprites/images and the loading is much faster so its up to you which version you prefer more

I ran the R.E.L.I.V.E. version and noticed no difference.

EDIT: It does stabilize the gamepad controls, which is nice. Otherwise, the game has a nasty habit of remapping the controls each time you play.

Yep. That's the only to run it. I suppose you could try adding it to the Options protocol, though I've never tried it.

you can run relive through steam if you rename relive.exe to AbeWin.exe for oddysee and Exoddus.exe for exoddus
