It works for Windows 10, so I assume it'll work on 7.

I thinking of buying it so glad it works on windows 10. Do you know if the whole pack works on windows 10?

Abe's Oddysee works perfectly with Windows 7 64-bit, albeit I have only used a keyboard the entire time.

Right click on AbeWin.exe in local files of the game. You should run this program in compatabillity mode for Windows 2000 .

Can't get this to run in Win 7 Pro 64-bit. It crashes every time I boot the game about 2-3 seconds after I get to the title screen (the text on the title screen actually becomes distorted right when it crashes).

Things I've tried (and many variations of these together):
*Run in Win 98/ME compat
*Run in Win XP compat
*Run in Win 2000 compat
*Unplug 360 controller
*Run as admin (despite being logged in as admin)
*Set launch options to windowed mode (both iterations)

Btw, first boot was standard without any of the changes above. Computer is i7, win 7 pro 64-bit, intel 4600 gpu (blah, i know, its a work pc), dual monitors.

Has anyone been able to resolve their crash? And for those on win 7 64-bit who have no issues, can you provide more info other than 'it works for me' so those of us crashing can compare? Thanks.

My PC doesn´t crash but it dies when I try to play the game. The only solution: turning off my computer...Not funny. Also win7-64 as I said a couple posts before.

I'm on Win 7 64-bit. I've just reinstalled the game, and it still works, although cut-scenes chug and suffer visual artefacts, I can't remember if this was always the case. Happily, once gameplay kicks in, it's fine.
I run as a standard user, and the game's exe has been given no special compatibility mode setting, or admin privileges. The game has not been added to the DEP exception list. If I did anything weird when I first played the game a couple of years ago, I can't remember what it was!
The game runs full screen, and seems to disable Aero - seen by alt-tabbing out, or hitting Alt+F4.

This probably isn't much help for you, but for comparisons sake, I'm running an Intel i5, 4GB RAM, AMD 5770 on Beta Crimson drivers now that driver updates have ceased for this card.

windows 7 64bits and no problems running these or any other DOS game

I had a lot of troubles with it (i7, Windows 7 x64, nVidia 540m) like many others out there (check old threads).
Some users solved using ddhack, but even that didn't work for me.
I finally came up with this

I had some problems with Xbox360 controller bindings too, now I'm using antimicro[github.com] and it is way better
