Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee

Fixing FMV and Audio Stuttering?
Exactly what the title says-- I started up the game and the cutscene that plays before the menu and the first cutscene have this horrible visual and audio stutter while the in game graphics (and even abe on the title screens) runs smoothly.
This wouldn't be too much of a problem if I could skip said cutscenes but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do so.

I've seen a few people suggesting downloading some kind of program but I was wondering if there was anything I could do on my end (I'm very picky about what I download so I consider downloading even fan made patches as a last resort.)

If it helps, here are my computer specs:
Windows 10
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

I did want to avoid downloading things but I can't figure out a fix on my end. Thank you for the link. I'll try setting up the fix tonight and I'll report back

I'm having the exact same problem. I tried downloading the file on the link, but I can't edit it in the way I'm instructed to

Forgot to update the thread but I did get the fix to work.
You have the file already downloaded and extracted in the game's folder right? In the wrapper folder, you should have a CFG file that is editable with the computer's notepad application (at least for me, my computer did not use this application by default to open said file but once I browsed and selected the notepad application for use, my computer recognizes CFG files as a editable thing.)

Btw, the setting recommended in the instructions didn't work for me but this combination did-

RealDDrawPath = AUTO
BltMirror = 0
BltNoTearing = 1
ColorFix = 0
DisableHighDpiScaling = 0
FakeVsync = 1
FakeVsyncInterval = 18
ForceBltNoTearing = 0
ForceDirectDrawEmulation = 1
NoVideoMemory = 2
SingleProcAffinity = 1
ShowFPS = 0

Then save it and make sure to take the CFG file of the wrapper's folder since the game won't peek inside any nestled folders (You can also leave the initial wrapper folder in there with the original CFG without any conflicts happening.)

Hopefully this help
