How to push carts ? *spoiler warning*

I managed to get to the basement. I found some carts. I can pull them, but i can't push them. It seems that the game wants me to push some of these carts to progress. Also i pulled one of the carts a bit too far, and i can't push it back (because i can't push carts for some reason). Since it's the basement, the carts don't reset the next day. I don't want to restart a whole new save for that.

Am i missing something obvious ? Do i need some item (please, don't say which one if that's the case) ? I went with the broken lever thinking it could help, but not ...

Should be able to grab the carts and move them with W and S

some people said it only works with a qwerty keyboard, so if you have an azerty keyboard, try pushing w to move the cart forwards

The key hasn't been remapped in Azerty keyboard, so it's still "w" for moving things forward.

Thanks ! That seems obvious now. Since i was already able to move with ZQSD, i assumed it was the same for the cart. I feel a bit stupid, but at least, i'm able to push on (pun intended !)
