Time limit? How many days do you have?
How many days do you have to complete the game? Or does it go forever?

HI presos, there is no day limit in the full game unlike the demo where you could only play 4 in-game days. Enjoy your time at Mount Holly!

no time limit, it goes on forever.

Really? Phew. I thought there's 30 days or even 24 days limit since memo on Security terminal says "in this month there will be only you who read this message" and the other letter says the manor workers are prepaid only for 30 days that they should spend outside.
I do find it a bit misleading that the game itself appears to allude to there being a time limit, even if it is unintentional. Due to the type of game this is, it wouldn't take much to get lost on a false tanget.
@helen I’ve been trying to find out is there a time limit per day? I was just watching someone play and he did a long day and I think he ran out of time? Ie if 1 hour of in-game time is about 5 minutes, does the day have to end after 80 minutes of playing?

The in-game day ends when you select to 'Call it a Day' or 'Save and Quit'. You can play a single day for hours. Because there's no mid-day save option currently available, I've left my game running on my computer all day in real time, and then returned to keep playing. So I've often run around as Simon where it's night time in his game world. I kept the poor kid up way past his bedtime, and the game didn't mind.

If another player ran out of something and was forced to end their day, I imagine it was Steps, not time?

There's a night cycle?
Yeah, well it looks like it. The sky gets dark and there are stars in the sky.

Wow, never seen this. How long does that take?

Does it ever loop back around to day?

After playing the game a bit, I've understood that the time limit sentence in the Baron's Will is actually in fact, intended : It's another word pun.

I'm not sure on either point, sorry.
Sometimes when I've looked at a clock on the Estate after taking a break, I have wondered if that time is AM, PM, or the next day!
But I've never actually lost a day by running around all night. Simon is dutifully back at 8 am the next morning.

So as not to throw out the Day calculations, I assume the game has a way to handle players who have kept Simon up all night and are still playing at 07:59. Maybe a single day can exceed 24 hours if you just keep playing? (Meaning that perhaps the clocks keep ticking, but the Day number does not tick over until you Call It A Day?) But whether the sky would show as night time or day time, I don't know.

What about specific rooms, like Gallery? Is it going to dissapear after 365 days?
