The devs should make a permanent change to the default walking speed tbh. Even the "run" speed is painfully slow (like many, many other things).
Terminal: I agree only on the speed part. Increase the speed and make the password permanent once you find it.
Animation: They should just add an option inside the setting to make them faster, so old players can skip every animation easily.
Journal/Log: This! This is what created so much confusion for some players. It's my only big downside from this game. The fact that this game forces you to take a lot of notes & pictures and that the devs didn't implement an in-game board to support this, it's super bad in terms of gameplay design. A lot of players go into this thinking they have to solve X puzzle right away or X secret by X day, That's not how this game work. It's more a game of collecting pieces of information, creating links between X & Y, and looking back to an old clue that may tell you something new with your current information. Either the devs need to add a log book where you can write and see your progression or they add a board that you can add your stuff on. I can't stress enough how this is the biggest flaw of the game.
Option to skip time: Something interesting is they could add a meditation room(new puzzle) where you can unlock a permanent upgrade to once a day past the time to until Xh and gain back X number of steps.
The safes: Not only should they remain open when you solve them, but the room should add an indicator with +1 Gem on it so you don't forget. (As a permanent upgrade)
I don't want the game to give me anything. I want it to save me the annoyance of going "Welp, time to F12 15 times in a row" when I find a new book. It's also nice to not have to deal with steam's laggy UI when I'd prefer to do everything in game.
You could make it a permanent meta-upgrade after you get to room 46 or draft a specific room or whatever, just give me the QoL of an in-game journal.
An animation speed toggle after a certain point would be nice as well. And please stop telling me what a metal detector does every time I pick it up, I am on day 80-something, I know.
