It does, though it's a bit unfortunate. I was going to move some water into the reserve so I have the option to drain the reservoir fully, but I drafted the pump room far later into the day so there was no route.
I can definitely see why some people dislike the drafting portion of the game as an obstacle to exploration and experimentation for instances like this.
1) The electromagnet makes them *very* easy to draft.
2) The wrench item allows you to adjust the rarity of a mechanical room the first time you draft it.
Once you get one of these items, put it in coat check so that you can get it again in later days. Every day, hunt down coat check, grab your item, and return it so you can repeat the process the next day (if needed).
I'm really glad I took the days needed to lower the rarity on the boiler room, workshop, and pump room.
Yeah, I'm beginning to see how valuable Coat Check is. Right now I have the vault box key in there. I had wrench once and I lowered loads of rooms. I actually would like to raise Lab's rarity again. I feel like I never use it since unlocking blackbridge grotto Definitely need to get the rarity of workshop down though.
With how hard it is to craft stuff, coat check seems to me to be one of the most powerful rooms in the game.

These are some ways to manipulate rng.
The lab's experiments are sometimes amazing though. I don't know if its available right away, but there was an experiment combo that boosted my starting money by like 8 or something in a single day.
Also the 'Whenever I open a trunk (or anything tbh), a trunk appears in the starting area' is pretty OP if you have a sledge.
