Reliable rooms for finding broken lever?

This item has to be one of the most rare items I ever come across despite it being used for so many things. Does anybody know of a reliable room it might show up in?

I haven't kept a full list of the items and how frequently I've come across them, but I'd wager that the Broken Lever is Uncommon, not Rare. Rare would be the Wrench, which I've seen exactly twice in > 50 days. Assuming a four-level rarity (like the rooms have, though I don't recall if these names are the same as the game uses)

Based on my memory of them (definitely not statistically valid!!!):

Rare (4): Wrench
Uncommon (3): Battery Pack, Broken Lever
Unusual (2): Sleeping Mask, Compass, Salt Shaker, Rabbit's Foot, Keycard(*)
Common (1): Shovel, Metal Detector

I know not all the items are here and I'm not convinced I have it right, either.

(*) The Keycard is weird because I'm not certain whether its part of the Item pool or not. It can appear in place of a Major Key, but its completely unique. All of the major keys might be unique, but I haven't had an opportunity to test that, and I've *definitely* gotten multiple Silver Keys in a run although I've never held multiple at the same time...

The broken lever is a huge pain to get. I feel like I find it pretty often in the workshop and dark room (after power is restored).

To actually answer your question, though; I've found that The Workshop *always* has a rarer Special item (usually the Battery Pack or Broken Lever for me, I've never seen it give the Wrench), and The Darkroom, if it rolls an Special Item instead of a gem/key/coin, tends to roll a rarer one as well.

The Attic is also a *very* good place for it to spawn, I think you're guaranteed at least 2-4 Special Items out of the 8 Items it spawns.

The Toolshed Outer Room is itself *guaranteed* to drop 2 Special Items, although they can be of *any* rarity, so its not reliable for a particular one.

You can get the wrench pretty easily (not as a random drop) by trading a prism key at the outside trade room, or secret garden key->prism->wrench

As for the lever, I find them all the time in the attic

I've found the broken lever multiple times buried in the courtyard. Might want to try a run with additional buried items and see if it turns up!
