Did anyone take pictures of the books?
One of the books that is available in the library (not purchased from bookshop), something like The History of <Place>, it might have been written by caleb manning, it described kings and counts and succession and had a fair amount of censoring in it

i skimmed that book, remembered relatively little of it, and figured i could just look at it later. Only to find out that a LIBRARY doesnt actually contain the books?

Now i want to reread it to familiarise myself more with the lore, did anyone take pictures of all the pages?

The library does has this book.
You have to re-check out the book to see it again

Yes, but thats stupid, i have other books to read. I dont want to

draft the library, if i get lucky
Read the book i already checked out last time (Its the architect's guide volume 5, im looking forward to it)

start a new run
draft the library, if i get lucky
order the history book

start a new run
draft the library, if i get lucky
actually read the history book

All this just to re-read something i had before

That is way too many steps, and it could take several hours of realtime to accomplish. This is really unreasonable, its not fun, and its not respecting my time as a player. Previously ordered books should be readable on demand immediately in the library, because this is an awful design. But anyways

So i am asking for someone who thought "hey this looks important, i'd better take screenshots" to show me them and save all that effort

I've taken screenshots of a ton of things, but not of the books in the library as of yet. I guess i assumed the library had a... different purple that I don't want to spoil.

Buy the uncensored 1st edition from the book shop, it is more helpful for the final exam...
There is an upgrade you can get for the Reading Nook that makes it so you will always draw the Library as one of the three options when drafting from it, but someone will put screenshots up of all the books eventually, if perhaps nothing else then to "cheat" on the final exam without outright looking up the answers.

I got the book nook upgrade too, so no library or bookshop issues for me.

I also loved the artfully censored edition, the passive aggressive note, then finally reading the complete edition. That must have been a lot of work to make both books make sense
Can someone post screenshots of all the book checkout slips please? I realized I forgot to screenshot those and the thought of checking out all the books again just for that is pretty bloody annoying.
Take screenshots of rare stuff. If you're not sure if you'll easily be again in that room, then take screenshot. I actually have a lot of screenshots - never know what will be useful in the future.

There is a trick that can significantly help guarantee the easy of drawing specific room types.

Figure out the chess puzzle in the underground. Two options you can choose between for upgrades help basically guarantee the library within the first 4 rooms a majority of the time. And unlike a lot of the choice based meta upgrades (specifically looking at you upgrade disks), you can reset the chess puzzle upgrade to another one just by redoing it fairly simply, only taking 1-2 runs generally to reset it once you've figured it out.

And as others have said, the censored version of the book is basically worthless. The only purpose it has as far as I know is to tell you about the existence of the uncensored version.

Thank you very much.
I'm not sure external links are allowed on here, but I posted the first edition of The History Of Orindia on my pixelfed here:
