I honerstly don't understand what you mean by better drafting strategy. Like avoid dead ends and try taking rooms with multiple doors so you can recover from a bad draft but in the end it's all RNG.
Just now got a run, opened both side of the antechamber and both side i didn't get a connecting room. Didn't find a single reroll dice during the run. And on the same run got boilerroom but not able to connect lab or any vents to it. Now my run ends with 84 steps left, 8 keys, 11 gold and 1 gem. Didn't get a single thing out of this run and it's been like that for the past 5-6 runs which each can take 30+ mins.
I get what you say, but the big differecne for me with other roguelites is that the gameplay of this game in itself is "poor". Isaac even if you have a bad run the gameplay is enjoyable same for Hades and all the other roguelites.
In this game if you're aren't getting any progress, solving puzzles/mysteries or finging new ones, than it's just a walking sim until you finally make some progress.
