Is it impossible to get a full trophy case on a file if you didn't reach room 46 on day one?
I've beaten the game and seen the in game trophy checklist that shows up in the entrance now. One of the trophies is for beating the game on day one. Since I am obviously already way past that, is it simply impossible to get all the trophies on this file now?

you can still get all the trophies in theory (assuming they arent broken.) Theres an in game way to do it, but its hidden

Ok, now I'm curious what you're talking about. Could you please explain in detail (and obviously spoiler)

It's actually a few puzzles! Have you solved the Laboratory fully?

1) Connect the Boiler Room (or some other Power Source) to the Laboratory, and solve its puzzle to unlock the Blackbridge Grotto. Solution: Push Three Up After Nine
2) Have you read the letters in the servant's quarters? They're both addressed to the same person....It's a shame his code was deactivated. Who else might have an ADMIN KEY?Anne Babbage is certain to have one.
3) BabbA doesn't have full admin access, but she can find out who does!

I beat the game before the first part even came close to happening. It's something I'd been trying to do since an early run where I discovered the Laboratory and figured out its puzzle solution. Also, I'm kind of done with the game (I got frustrated on never getting combos like this to try and solve the things I actually wanted to solve), could you be a bit more explicit on what you're talking about? I obviously am never going to have access to the room that 1) unlocks and your other two make no sense without its context.

I can't really be more explicit about it; that room just... has a terminal with the advanced game-save-manipulation features one would except the main menu to have.

I agree that the game can be immensely frustrating, though. The trick for me is to attempt to pull on whichever loose thread(s) are convenient with my current estate layout. Also, there *are* alternative ways to power the Laboratory, not just the boiler room; you can also acquire an item that can be used to change the rarity of Gear-icon rooms you draft...

Ironically the only time I got that item from the permanent upgrade, my run ended with a bad run of dead ends/bad rotations/no branching paths very quickly (3rd rank).

I'm still wondering how insanely lucky you have to be to do the Day 1 run. I mean you have to get access to a lever, have the proper method of accessing it, get access to the right side of the antechamber, then you either have to get a Foundation with access to its back wall and the tomb or a working pump room. . That just sounds like an effort in frustration.

I'm grinding it out now and yeah, it is a bit frustrating lol.

I've gotten to the Antechamber three times, but haven't been able to access both sides of the Reservoir even once so far.

The Tomb is inaccessible on Day One (I've only ever gotten Root Cellar, Toolshed, and Hovel as choices); the only ways I can think of to get access to both Reservoir halves is 1) Pump Room + Foundation elevator lowered, 2) Power Sledge + either Foundation or Pump Room, 3) Boiler Room powering Pump Room.

Wait, the Power Sledge gives you access to both sides? I've never gotten it (the one time I got the item combination, the room never appeared. It is way too rare for how useful it is. I've been curious what the other item combinations are as the only thing I ever got was the candle lighter and used that on the church). The underground map seems to indicate the foundation side leads to the "Cliffside Exit" so I figured it was just a way of creating a permanent entrance from the outside to that side of the underground. Is there another wall/entrance I don't know about?
Power Sledge destroys the boards near the four blue flames and connects to the basement. (While you're there, Power Sledge also destroys the wall in the chess puzzle room in the Precipice. I think there's an in-game drawing that shows this.) Tomb allows entrance through the Catacombs. Fountain once drained also provides access.
