I have the same issue. Did set it up yesterday for current day IRL date/time, but by doing so the safe won't open either.

Edit: in-game time seems to work, datetime format Dutch. Must have done something wrong on my first attempt. Maybe confused AM/PM.

I don't know about a calendar, but I know at least one room always has the current date in it.

The Vault
The day starts at 8AM. I didn't time it explicitly, but each in-game hour takes around 10 minutes give or take. You know the date of Day One, what date is it now?

Remember that you need to set the time-lock date *at least* an hour after the current time! If it's 8:15AM and you set it for 9AM, it won't open!

Likewise, make sure you're calculating the current date correctly. Day One is Nov. 7th, as you said, so Day Twenty-Seven (for example) is Dec. 3rd.

There is a bug if your computers time regional format is not set to English (United States), the time lock safe does not open even if you put the "correct" date and time. This can be fixed by changing the regional format and re-launching the game.

I am sure there is some way to decipher what the actual correct date is if your regional format is different, but this is how I got it working

Confirmed - this was fix for me, only US regions work

Worked for me too, but changing the time zone alone didn't work, you have to set the regional format to US.
I spent over three hours trying to solve this tricky mystery. This is the only blemish on the best game of the year.

This is a pretty big and inexcusable bug.

A lot of players aren't going to realize this is happening to them and it is going to very much tick them off when they have to throw their whole run/day just to deal with this work around.

I don't know if this helps in any way the developers, I am from Italy, and my computer datetime format is set for Italy, and the timed lock works for me.

This is incorrect. You can set the timer for 9AM and it will work, starting the day at 8AM.

Doesn't open for me either, I have confirmed the date and the time but nothing happens, tried with 2 different runs. My clock is set to Finnish time zone, I'll try the time zone fix tomorrow
