Soft locked in the Reservoir, possible bug, can no longer proceed? Help!

If anyone can help me get this unstuck I would appreciate it, otherwise this may be a heavily unaccounted for circumstance. Spoilers for the Reservoir area I suppose.

So I used the elevator to go underground and walk to the reservoir, crossed on the boat to the spinning bridges and proceeded through that way. After seeing everything I needed too I had a clever idea to move the bridges in a way that would let me freely walk between the two shores, that way I could leave the boat on the far shore, go drain the reservoir, then return and ride the boat through the small cave I could see under the water near the bridge. That WAS the plan, however RNG decided I wasn't worth and I couldnt get the Pool to spawn for the life of me, thus my day ended.

At the start of the next day I went back down the elevator to see if things reset or not. Well turns out the bridges did reset, while the boat DIDN'T reset...... So now I'm stuck on the Fountain side of the reservoir with no way that I can see to get back to the bridge side...

I want to try and see if messing with the water level might reset the boat, but seriously the pool and pump room avoid me like the plague, so that could take literal hours just to test that theory...

Can anyone provide a solution here, IS there a solution here or have I actually just found something the devs didn't think anyone would try.... really hoping for the former here.

I haven't done that, so I don't know if that is yet another possible solution. But no, there's another way other than that.

Draining the reservoir does not allow you to cross, you can only go down into the bottom of it from 1 side. Though it does have a nice reward down there if you end up doing it.

Also there's definitely multiple ways down to both sides as when you started talking about an elevator before crossing with the boat I got confused, as I've only ever used an elevator to get down to the gears side, and only ever used the fountain to get down to the opposite side...

Oh then that is strange, I'm referring to the elevator Unlocked by lighting the 4 blue flames and then making a staircase from the basement door by usng the fire starter item in the room with all the candles in a circle

Makes for a convenient instant path down to the basement side of the reservoir.

... Yeah I've done a buncha stuff with the blue flames thing, like I've gotten pretty far beyond getting to room 46...and I've legit never made an item that can light candles... o.o

My situation is the same as yours.
I have resolved this issue and confirmed that it is not a bug.
Maybe you should try your luck in the basement:)

Boy I tried so many time the basement, SO MANY TIMES. I've unlocked those :

• basement door with Antechamber ✅
  
• breaking 2 walls with power hammer ✅
  
• trying every possible water level in the reservoir
  
• hitting everything in basement with power hammer

But right now I stuck on one side by a minecart, on water because boat is wrong side, there's CLEARLY a path in basement but it's hidden behind a bookshelf or something. I'm guessing there's some kind of puzzle here.

But it's so infuriating I can't seem to find new ways to access the gears and "finish" the game a first time or something. Please hint me toward what I should look for to unlock this boat situation.

The fact it remains on the same side and I called it a day without knowing it really generated a lot of frustration for me. I'm still trying, but so far I'm at lost (and I'm doing so many other things to try to unlock this situation)

You are Correct! the basement room with all of the boxes and furniture is a puzzle. You can solve it with everything in that room as well!

You are Correct! the basement room with all of the boxes and furniture is a puzzle. You can solve it with everything in that room as well!

Is it possible I soft locked myself with this puzzle as things moves only one way and stay like this ? I'm so lost haha

Nothing in that room only moves one way, you can both push, and pull, items freely. Only thing that stops you is if another item is in the way. It took me a bit to figure it out for sure, but, it is certainly possibly. If it helps you can kind of squeeze through spaces you might not think you can

I think ya just walk forward while holding the hold button. It's been a while since I interacted with it haha.
