I don't know if I needed to set something up before I descended, but I'm stuck at a large gear room and a minecart blocking a track. Am I supposed to turn the gear and then go back up to do something? Can someone nudge me in what I'm supposed to be thinking about?

Kind of hard to answer this without spoiling it. But you can move the minecart.

More specific you can only move it from the other side.
