Thanks I've submitted a ticket
not necessarily important for puzzle solving, but its still very annoying...every cutscene for me is just a blank white screen. Last night I managed to "complete" the game by getting to room 46 and it played an "ending" cutscene, which for me was just a blank white screen, so I didnt even get to have the reward of seeing the ending cutscene.
Thank you so much for posting this
What fixed it for me was installing the Media Feature Pack for Windows.
This feature is not installed by default in the Windows N Versions (in the EU).
You can install it by using Win + R and type ms-settings:optionalfeatures.
Then select Add a feature and search for Media Feature Pack. After installing, reboot and the cutscenes work for me.
To validate if you have the same issue you can run blue prince and watch the credits. The credits will also be a white screen. Then quit the game and check the Unity Logs in AppData\LocalLow\Dogubomb\BLUE PRINCE\Player
The following error was in my log file:
Initializing Microsoft Media Foundation failed. It seems that the Microsoft Media Foundation is not installed on this machine or a newer version of Microsoft Media Foundation is required. To install the necessary libraries please install the Media Feature Pack from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/search/result.aspx?q=Media+Feature+Pack for your version of Windows.
