Lost my save data

Hi folks, I'm not sure what happened but I have lost my save data. I have been using cloud sync between PC and steam deck. I created a second profile in order to test whether the intro movie was working on my steam deck, then later deleted that second profile, but I've ended up with my main profile being deleted.

I am pretty sure I wouldn't have deleted my main profile by mistake, so I am a bit worried there is some bug where the wrong profile gets deleted? Either way, is there any backup of my save anywhere?

Fortunately I was only 3 hours in, so not a complete disaster if it's not retrievable.

Somehow I also lost the saves (all 3 profiles) at 76 hours. Started the game and only "new game" was active. Cloud saves are empty as well.

This just happened to me as well. Updated the game and all save data was lost. I opened the game on another device hoping it would let me restore the save from that machine but instead it synced with the cloud and wiped the save data there too. Very disappointing.
