Saving during the day?
I just started the demo and so far it's fun. I wanted to quit the game to go do something else, but when I choose 'save and quit' it asked me if I wanted to call it a day. I decided to just put my steamdeck to sleep to not lose my progress.

Will it be possible to actually save and quit during the day in the full game without loosing progress?

Same question.

Yep. Or, when just when having started the next day standing in the entrance, being able to just quit and keep the save so the day can be started at a later moment.

If they let me save during the day I would save-scum and ruin my own fun by trying too hard.

They could force autosave when moving to a new room...

I agree with Jeff. Forcing an Auto Save every time you click a door would be great. Otherwise I would 100% save scum it as well.

Yah, we really need some kind of auto save feature or something, in the event of a crash.

Ya'll need to get a hold of yourselves. Only you are responsible for your actions, so if you don't want to save scum, just don't.

This is a single-player game, and people should be allowed to play however they enjoy it. If auto-save is going to be a thing then it should be an option only.

I assume that because "save + quit" and "call it a day" are different menu options, it will be possible to save + quit during a run. It's probably just not implemented in the demo.

The problem is not save scumming.

The problem is having no way to save mid run in the event of power outage or a crash of some sort. If people want to save scum as long as there is no leader-board component or multiplayer I could really care less.

What I care more about is having to redo an entire hour plus run because the game or pc crashed or shut down or the power's gone out or just something has happened and the game closes.

Yeah, bare minimum there should be an option to save and quit without ending a run, so you can go do other things without just leaving the game running.

An autosave so that you don't lose progress also sounds lovely.

Started playing on my computer. Now I need to move rooms and want to switch to playing on my steam deck but am trapped. Would love if you could save during the day, even if it was only a save/quit option. I have 90 steps and am doing so well but I might just have to lose all my progress. Boooo

I really hope this feature is being worked on BEFORE launch. Or you can expect A LOT more feedback like this after release. People are going to need a way to save and quit, mid run.

Yeah, not being able to save mid-day in a game where a day could last minutes or hours depending on luck is a bad idea. I lost one of my days in the demo trying to save and quit to start on day 1 later.

yeahhh this didn't age well lol. At least let me actually SAVE and quit WITHOUT SKIPPING THE DAY when I haven't even used a single step yet...
