Love this game so much, steps between doorways can be brutal
I am absolutely floored by how much I admire and am in awe at the depth and elegant execution of this game. I am also terrified of spoilers on here, so I'm keeping my comments and feedback narrow for now until I've seen everything (or what I think is mostly everything).
It would be nice if the step trigger was less sensitive between doorways, I'm looking at you closet. Also got pwned by a boiler room door which was closed on the boiler room side and on the pantry side was not, before I realised I had taken like 20 steps
+ please let me save at will as others have said.

Oof, that hurts.

Closet should deduct a step before you can pick up items, I'd say that's a very clear intent that you can't just grabby-claw the items without spending the steps for entering the room.

It already does, doesn't it?

I'm not sure I get what you mean Draco18s... Can you please describe how you have understood the closet to work currently?

Yeah issue is not losing a single step, issue is constrained movement exploring the closet and losing steps by inadvertently moving in and out of the closet.

look at the flooring, it clearly changes where the flooring changes so you're exiting the room at that exact point.
