[Spoilers] Throne room not allowed in 'that' location?

Was trying to open some special doors.. think I'm at the last stage where I need to unlock some special blue door so I loaded up the monk shrine effect and .. discovered the throne room didn't show up as an option in that other place after calling it a day at the throne room?

Having a really hard time getting that room anyways, and then needing enough space and luck to draft eight other rooms after that? That seems extremely unlikely.

Yes, the Blue Throne Room cannot be "monked". It is currently not sure whether this is a bug or not. It could be on purpose, to make one of the last late-game puzzles even more difficult. On the other hand, this would make one of the blue memos a lie.

The regular Throne Room can be built outside. I didn't test this myself, but read in another thread that there even is a very notable difference between the inside and outside version.

The hard part for me was getting that Throne Room early in the run. If this worked out, there are options to greatly increase your chance to draft blue floors; combined with means to redraw a few times (which you should easily have at that stage of the game), it is not at all difficult to fulfil the requirement. As the unlock will be permanent, you don't even need to draft sensible layouts. Simply call it a day once you made it.

The blue throneroom seems to count as a black room (even after upgrading), for the sake of the banner of the king and the scepter. So those will help you draw that room early.

Got it! Not sure if the blue scepter helped here, since Gorlom's remark, but I was able to reroll it using stars. And now the red door was closed again, lol. But yeah, that one is easy.
