[BUG PSA] DO NOT Monk the Foundation!!
Using Blessing of the Monk on the Foundation will actually screw your file permanently, I had to make an emergency pull from my Steam Cloud and override the save data to make sure my save wasn't permanently screwed!

The foundation will PERMANENTLY be added to the Outer Room and overwrite your original placement. As far as I can tell there's no way to properly lower the elevator there (it did not retain the data from the original placement) and no way to move it back into the house. As a result you can no longer access ANY outer rooms.

Yes this is a "♥♥♥♥ around and find out" situation, but that's quite literally the point of the Blessing of the Monk. You are meant to experiment with the different rooms and their different interactions with being placed in the Outer Room (Garage, Antechamber, and Room 46 are among these rooms I've found), this is in fact INTEGRAL to a late game puzzle. Being soft-locked out of the outer room can prevent you from solving that late game puzzle (and potentially more, idk still haven't finished what that leads to). Not to mention it locks out all the shrine blessings and other outer room effects.

Thank god they foresaw that, for a second I really thought that was the one room they didn't expect people to Monk in LMAO. Like I had that thought in the back of my head it might be permanent right as I placed it... but really hoped it would just disappear the next day.

I already did an emergency pull from Steam Cloud before closing the game after it remained for a day so I never saw that appear. It really took the wind out of my sails for the day.

I'm guessing it just gives you the ability to wipe the foundation from that spot, nothing truly unique or worth seeing?

It gives you an item that only ever appears in this situation or sometimes in the Lost & Found. You can live without it, but it's an interesting thing to experience, and this is the only way to move your Foundation.

That's very funny.

Mrs Babbage was *extremely* confused the next morning, according to her note.
Your game and save was fine.

Monking your foundation is both useful and interesting.
