[Moderate Spoilers] Foundation Questions
I've gotten pretty far into this game, and I've only had bad locations for Foundation to spawn, so I have passed up the opportunity every time it has been offered to me. I have several questions about being locked into a bad location with bad RNG;

1. Is it possible for Foundation to be the only room drawn without a gem cost when you are out of gems, thus forcing you to place the Foundation somewhere really inconvenient, forcing you to use the Monk Blessing from the Shrine to remove Foundation ?

2. I Have managed to find Room 46 without drafting The Foundation by using the Power Hammer on the Sealed Passageway and the pump room to drain the fountain, unlock the door at the bottom with the basement key, and solved the reservoir water level puzzle, and I have unlocked door at the bottom of the Foundation elevator from what I assume is the opposite side of the intended route . Are the only remaining uses of the Foundation for me at this point saving steps when quickly going back and forth between higher ranks in the estate and exploring the grounds and for completing the room directory, or am I gating myself out of larger late-game puzzles by not having it? To me, it seems like I've entirely bypassed the need for Foundation because I handicapped myself by choosing not to have it at all instead of having it in an inconvenient location

The Foundation saves you time but isn't needed.
I had a profile that waited 50 days to place it because I kept trying to get it in C8 and you can't place it there :(
(B8 and D8 are fine though)
If you have break room upgrade (to Billiards Room) then starting with a keycard allows you to immediately go deep in the house, which can be useful.
such as getting blue memos or early crown

Much appreciated, this is what I had figured, so I'll keep avoiding it until I draw it sufficiently deep into the house and it has an exit heading North
