Is there a true ending? Or maybe Im playing the game the wrong way?
I reach room 46 and opened 3/8 sanctum doors . So I think, I'm too far away from the true ending - but is it really in the game?

Dont get me wrong, I love this game. You might say thats the game is slow burner. The problems is - I have a job, I have a family, I have a friends, I have other games to beat. Even if I have a time and place to play, I need like 2 hours to just remember where I stopped last time, when I played the game a week ago. And I need a long session, or at least several shorter sessions in near days, just to keep my pathing in all the puzzles.

Other problem is, as you can see, I'm not a native english. So a lot of context and connections faded away from me.

I really want some logical ending in the game - and maybe you have an answer for me, how I can get there. Or maybe some advices on how to play this game properly

Hi,

There are a number of independent challenges to achieve (the sanctum doors and their seals are one of them). Have a look at your trophy list (in the entrance)

And then there is one very long sequence of hard puzzles which contain a handul of small cinematics at each step. However accomplishing this sequence on your own is ridiculously hard. This sequence is the true ending. But it doesn't have the same effect as reaching room 46.
I abandonned it and looked for the solutions online, and I given your description, I am pretty sure you will too.
This sequence starts with The book "A new Clue"

I recommend you finish the sanctum doors (there will not be a cinematic at the end)
If you enjoyed learning about the lore of the game's world (which you need in your current quest), I recommend you take the school's exam by drawing the 9th classrooms in a single run.

Beyond that, I recommend you to start looking for the rest online
