Edit: btw... when I say "remove your current save file", I just mean move it to another directory and then put it back where it was when you get the game working again.
so it turns out that it actually does open, it just opens in microscopic size at the top left of my screen - have tried to force it to use fullscreen but still no joy.. hopefully I'll get some response on my support ticket soon or else will look to refund, and that's a shame as I'm enjoying it..
Last thing I'll say is that there is a file titled "Player" in the same folder as your save file (C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\Dogubomb\BLUE PRINCE). it's a text file that apparently is a log of all the processes that your computer goes through when launching the game. Most of it is probably beyond your (and my) comprehension, but maybe you'll see something in there that's helpful (either for yourself, or to show to whoever answers your ticket request).
