Commonplace Room Rarity Question [Spoilers]

Spoilers ahead:
I used the Conservatory to change the rarity of the Throne Room (now Throne of the Blue Prince) to Commonplace, and yet it has taken me over a week of runs for it to show up again so I could even try to unseal the blue doors. I was using the Scepter/King power on blue to even try to get it quicker

So my question is this: Is the Throne Room special in that it stays more rare than other rooms of the same rarity or is RNG just playing dirty tricks on me?

I don't know for sure, but it is possible that throne room is treated distinctly from throne of the blue prince, so if you changed the rarity of throne room, it reset when you got throne of the blue prince, but that's speculation and I'm not sure if anyone will know for sure.

Edit: I suppose you'd be able to check this in the room directory to see? If it's still showing commonplace, then I guess just rough RNG luck.

It's still listed as commonplace in my directory.

I feel like every time I change to blackprints being drawn more, I suddenly get the throne even though it is supposed to be a blue room now. so I use King for blackprints while my scepter is on blue

Yeah there seems to be a possible bug in that the Throne Room, once ascended, does not change to a blue room behind the scenes such that the game code recognizes the room color change. It stays as a blackprint to the game. Using the Banner of the King to increase blackprint odds will almost always cause the throne room to appear. Using Banner or Scepter to increase blueprint odds does not affect the throne room. I am in the midst of testing other rooms (Corridor for instance) to see if nothing changes color behind the scenes.
