Can we please get a mid-run/midday safe and leave option?

I would very much appreciate the option to safe and leave mid run, ie. without having to give up on a day.

GF and I play this together but she has responsibilities that might ask her to leave suddenly.
So its a bit impractical to let the game run for hours on my PC and annoying/frustrating to have to finish a day while we still have plenty of steps left.

So, again, I would very much appreciate the possibility to safe and leave mid-run/midday, to avoid that.

Loads of topics asking for this, I haven't seen any response from the dev yet.
I agree this option missing is a foolish design choice. The menu option is still "Save and quiet" which implies a mid-run suspend. I dont know if the dev intended a suspend and changed their mind, or just couldn't get the function in before launch. Both ideas are concerning.

Yes please, this is obnoxious. Games have used suspend saves to let people shut the game off while avoiding save scumming for 30 years. I've been playing for 4 hours and haven't been able to save.
