Freezer RNG - spoilers

Trying to get the letter from the freezer while having a mag glass for the stamp.
Odds for this seems astronomical.

Got a few runs where I could unfreeze the stuff with the burning glass, but didn't have the furnace or the mag glass.

Now, after many runs, I've finally got the freezer right next to the furnace with the mag glass, but the temperature doesn't rise enough to unfreeze the letter. WTF man. Took me about 40 rerolls too. So the furncace needs to be powered up as well? Or need both the burner AND the mag glass? So what's the point of the furnace then?

What am I missing here?

The furnace doesn't unfreeze the content of the ice box, I'm afraid.
Getting the Burning Glass and the Magnifying Glass at the same time is kinda tricky - Trading Post might help.
However, stamps are not unique, you can find it elsewhere.

There are 2 items capable of melting.

There is a note in the lab that tells you the icebox doesnt thaw by raising room temp.

There are other sources for that stamp.

Oh is that what that note meant??
I thought it meant the Freezer room is unaffected, as if to say it wasn't a permanent change that would disable the function of that room.
Where I live, we call the box thing a 'chest freezer'. I didn't know that it could be called a cooler.

Yah so on the paper in the lab where it talks about the temp, there is a line that needs magnified and it says 20c cooler will not met at or something to that effect.

Yeah, I read that. But where I live we would never call it a 'cooler'.
(If you had to call something a cooler, it'd be more likely the whole room, not the appliance/furniture.)

Yah that's' bad wording on their part. It is clearly a deep freezer.

IMO furnace next to the freezer is kinda useless. It's really hard to get, and doesn't unfreeze everything. It's way easier to get and item that can unfreeze stuff, that works on everything. Furnace is only good if you want to unfreeze you cash in the same run, but for that you can draft it anywhere.

You can also just use the Sauna for that.
