Game Now Crashes On Startup

So, I decided to try a Widescreen Mod Fix that I came across. I downloaded and extracted the zip file in a separate directory and then copied the files over to the Blue Prince game folder. The first time I started the game, everything worked fine, however on each subsequent start the game now almost immediately crashes to desktop. After the first couple of crashes, I deleted the mod files I had added with no success. I then verified the integrity of the game files through Steam which told me everything was fine, still crashing. I THEN reinstalled the game, and it's STILL crashing at launch. At this point I'll I can think of is trying to delete my Steam Cloud save file and then trying to launch the game EXACTLY how it would be for the theoretical first time.

Anybody have any guidance regarding what might be going on and how to fix this? As I said, the only thing I haven't tried is deleting my Steam Cloud save file, but I would obviously rather not have to do that if there are other options. Thanks.
