Needs more ways of controlling the rooms deck
Got this free thanks to a giveaway and finally got to room 46. I've really enjoyed the game BUT I definitely wish there was more ways to control the draw. The main problem in my opinion is the rouge-like nature of the game. it's just hard to plan and unlock stuff. For example, I would like to buy some books in the bookshop but it's hard to know when I will have enough money. The increasing number of rooms you unlock just make it harder to plan properly. For example, I know there are 'water level' puzzles related to the pump room but I won't always be able to draft the pool.

I've only gotten the wrench once or twice and it's honestly made the game much more fun since I set all blue machine rooms to 'common'. From reading one of the books I know this is an item to remove rooms from the deck but I've never found it in my playthroughs so far.

I really hope the developers will add more options to control what appears in the deck and also permanent upgrades like daily coins. For example, I love the upgrade disks but maybe being able to swap between permanent upgrades will make it easier for certain strategies? Also if you unlock a door in the antechamber I think it should be unlocked permanently.

Anyway, love the depth of puzzles please keep up the good work and looking forward to hopefully more updates!

I really agree on the Upgrade Disks part, some upgrades are crazy important, but its random which you get.
You see a lot of comments here that are like 'I upgrade this room on Day 26, what's the problem?' while others are like "I can't power this damn room ever" on day 170

There's also some absurd endgame grinding/challenges that are wildly easier if you did specific upgrades. The power difference in these irreversible upgrade options are extreme.

I'm basically just done with the game at this point, because the next step (get 400 gold) is just more than I want to ♥♥♥♥ around with. Which upgrades you select and/or how early one gets them could easily end up saving dozens of hours.

There are more ways to control the room deck. Read all those notes backward and forward. Be bold. Keep digging. You'll get there.
I sort of wish there was a room let you see your entire deck and chances and you had options to edit all chances, but at a cost and only for the next run.

Your room registry (hotkey R) will let you see the entire deck and chances, (just wont let you edit).
I'd love some way to remove rooms from the deck, which they've said they can do in the notes. I found out I can add random copies of rooms permanently, I thought they were specific duplicates so I could do some endgame puzzles, but instead they're permanent pollution.

There technically are ways to do it, but they're exceedingly rare. The only one I know about is an item I haven't even seen once. There's a second that'll do it temporarily for a specific room type, and it is a guaranteed item you can acquire, but its in Room 46. So, kinda too late to be useful.
I'd love an update to decouple the Pump Room from the Pool. It's absolutely insane to be locked out of such an important room just because you haven't pulled a different, otherwise useless room. I've used the wrench to make Pool and Boiler Room common, but it's still such a crapshoot to get both AND the Pump Room AND have them all next to each other.
I don't so much mind the randomness, so much as I do how few opportunites you have to do re-rolls. Even though the game treats the re-roll dice like their own resource, there are not nearly enough ways to get ahold of them. I have the Budoir upgrade that gives you 2, but beyond that, I have maybe seen dice just in the wild maybe 10 times, at most... You cannot buy them anywhere, and there are ZERO rooms that guarantee a drop outside of Upgrade disks. The most I have ever had at one time was 5, and that was because I got an incredible Lab experiment that made like 20 trunks in the Entrance Hall. 5 Dice means very little if you need a specific room, and they are only really helpful to save yourself from bricking the day too early.

IMO, there really needs to be better access to this incredibly scarce resource.

The Pool isn't useless. Not...entirely.
The Swim Trunks purchase in the souvenir shop is amazing.

IIRC there is about 14 disks littered about. So the chances are you will get a good chance of getting what you need, like the eel aquarium etc.

My Eel Aquarium was the last upgrade I got, and I have the staff announcement to confirm I only had 2 left when it was sent.

Managed to get a permanent dupe of it though so that made mechanarium easy.
