Steam rejected refund after 6 hours playtime
I cannot currently play the game to completion because of lack of cutscenes (screen fades to white and they just don't play).

I get the 2 hour limit, but this games just doesn't work for me, so why can't I get a refund? Support ticket open with Raw, but it's been open a while with no real response.

If I bought a car from a dealer and drove it a few days and it then broken down, why should I be stuck with it?

Technically there is a workaround, you could watch the cutscenes on youtube.

But none of the cutscrenes are important to the game as far as I am aware.

Does the game freeze or can you continue playing after the cutscene is supposed to have played? I am assuming that you can continue otherwise the initial cutscene would have stopped you, right?

Every time, in a new game, I enter the security room, it goes to white, nothing happens and I can either skip the cutscene with right mouse or wait and it fades back to the room. Same for all other cutscenes. There is story and I'm not getting it. I'm fed up with this era of gaming where broken releases are fixed after the fact...

If you have an NVidia GPU, open the NVidia Control Panel and check if "Vertical Sync" is set to "Use the 3D application setting". That solved the white video issue for me.

That was it... In the App it was set to 'Fast' for some reason - set it back to 3D application and reran and security room played the video. Thanks a LOT! I'll feedback the fix to Raw Fury on my ticket now - hopefully they can patch it so others don't have to find this thread for a fix.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think there is one cutscene that is important for one puzzle (not releated to room 46).

In security, if you enter the correct password from the network, video recordings will be available. One of the recordings gives a hint to the puzzle.

You had fast sync enabled globaly? Well, changing that not only fixed this game, but all the stuttering you must have suffered in other games, as fast sync adds a lot of stutter if you can't sustain very specific framerates (an exact multiple of your monitor's refresh rate, so you need a fps cap alongside fast sync). Fast sync is only good in very specific scenarios.

Generally, don't enable anything globally in nVidia CP. Use game profiles when you want to enable something for some game.

I'm not even sure HOW it was set to that tbh. There are THOUSANDS of settings on a modern PC, and not all are set by a human. Ah well, better now.
