Question on item from *spoiler* room
I completed the chess puzzle, and picked the knight, so I could draft the armory. I drafted the armory, and bought everything, but completely forgot to use the axe before I ended my day. It no longer shows in my inventory (obviously, since I ended the day); and when I re-visit the armory, I'm no longer able to purchase it. I can always buy the morning star, the shield, and torch; but the axe has yet to re-appear (drafted the armory 3x since I originally bought the axe and forgot to use it).

Feeling like I'm screwed; at least until I'm able to complete the chess puzzle again, and hopefully if I pick "Knight" again, the axe will be there.

Axe should just reappear in the shop. What's available is just RNG.

How certain are you on this? I just drafted the armory 2 more times, and the morning star, shield, and torch are all there, but still no axe. I don't think the items in the armory are RNG dependent. Where you referring to the armory when you said "shop" or did you just mean the general commissary?

I can corroborate, it appeared for me several times.

i was able to buy the axe 3 times
I just found out about a limit, and I am extremely dissapointed there was no in-game warning anywhere about it. I definitely wasted 2 of my uses, and I wouldn't have done that if I knew about the limit. What a waste, geez.

But all the responses are saying that there is no limit. That OP is just being unlucky.

Well, I did check some other threads and sites. It appears that the axe can appear in Armory infinite times, until you actually buy and use it 3 times. After 3 uses it seems to stop appearing.
Can confirm I used the axe 3 times and haven't seen it since.
For those struggling to draw The AXE put one of the other 3 items in the coat check, this will make that item count as in play, as as there are only 4 items in this shops item list, the shop will be guaranteed to stock it.
It would be nice if there was a way to reset the axe uses. I.e. restore the cost of rooms and have axe appear again in shop.
I dont think the coat check stragety works (it was the first thing i tried when i found out about the armory), i had tried that with the shield in check and after drafting the armory about 10 times in a row the axe never showed back up after 3 uses, there was simply an empty wall slot every time. I def think the axe is a hard 3 time limit.
Given that the axe only swaps with the torch, the coat check strategy might only work by checking the torch specifically
