Bookshop the rarest of rooms

No idea how people can get this from the library it never literally shows up for me, and the amount of re-rolls I have done over many days. I hope the devs next patch reduces the rarity of the room. I want to do my Throne run but can't do it because I need that book from the bookshop.

If you have King, use it to force Shops.
If you have Scepter, use it to force Shops.
If you have Shrine, donate 3 gold for High Roller and get more rerolls.
If you draft Study, you'll have up to 8 rerolls for it, provided you have gems.

It isn't hard. Just use the tools in the game.

I get it pretty regularly from the library after the first time I did. But it probably helped that I got a modification to an other room that makes drafting the library very easy. Not sure if anything else helps me with drafting the bookshop though and it certainly isn't there every single time I am drafting from the library, not even close. I think I was 20 hours in or so before I drafted it, but I also never drafted the library very much in the beginning.

I have been using the tools, King has been set from chess puzzle.
Sceptre is set to shops.

I even grabbed a trainer to set my re-rolls to 99, and nothing. Never shows from the Library for me at all. It has to be a bug :(

My only other advice, though hardly actionable, is that having the Hall Pass item increases its chances of showing up.

I believe that the bookshop can be summoned only from the library

I have drafted the library well over 20 times, I have used many, many rerolls and even used King to increase Shop chance for 10 days in a row and yet day 56.... and still no Bookshop. I have the worst luck possible, it seems....

Worth noting that I don't think the Bookshop is in the original drafting pool, for anyone out there who is reading later game guides/spoilers and wondering why they can't get it early.

I noticed that the Bookshop showed up almost every time from my Library. However, eventually it showed up almost never from the Library. I wonder if an update made it rarer than it should be.

I don't get it any more either, but I did get all the books before it stopped showing up so that might be why. Either that, or it was indeed changed in a patch. I remember getting it pretty regularly from the library like I said in my original reply.

Supposedly the hallpass lets you draft it easier. I dunno why.

Have you activated the kings blessing on the day you are drawing? You need to activate it daily.

Were you drawing with the library up against the east wall? I'm not sure the bookshop can spawn in that location. I think It always spawn with an exit to the right. At least I can't recall the exit ever going left for me.

Bookshop has special drafting rules, similar to several other types of rooms. Namely, It can only be drafted from the Library. Meaning that under normal conditions, only a single door in the house has even the slightest change of drawing the room in the first place. Furthermore, it cannot be in a position that would place one of it's doors at the edge of the house, so East Wing and West Wing may interfere with it's generation, as well as Compass. It's relative rarity and how many rerolls you spend doesn't matter when those conditions are not being met. When those conditions are being met, it shows up reasonably often.
