100h in, i just realized one can use cheat engine to speed the game up
just verified that it's working (but i think you have to "attach debugger", not just open process)
..actually no, debugger isn't necessary. just need cheat engine 7.6 (didn't work in 7.5)

That might actually be really useful to deal with the slow pacing that develops by the 80'th time you're running through the game, good idea!
