idk what it means
am i just being dumb?
note mentioned 2 starting rooms
and the colors match the math puzzles
is it just not important?

From what I recall, I think the note was just rambling nonsense from the prior gardener of the estate desperate to get to the 46th room.

I think the main useful part was that the note points out that you can't unlock the Antechamber / room 46 just by filling out all 45 of the spots in the grid.

sounds about right
i've already reached room 46, just kinda looking deeper for other secrets
I figured the second starting room was referring to the Foundation, since you can get into the house from the basement once you've drafted it.
Do you think the gardener has found Room 8 since 45*2/9-2=8 and he thinks that he has found room 46?

It's an interesting idea, but I think using the notation on the Mathematics Worksheets, it would correlate with
4 + 5 = 9
x 2 = 18
/ 9 = 2
- 2 = 0

I interpreted it differently. The grid shown is 45 rooms, 5 wide x 9 ranks. You start with two rooms already filled in. The starting rooms are the Entrance Hall and the Antechamber. So each day you can only draft 43 of those 45 rooms.

I belive that refers to an in universe thing explained in the lore that may or may not be important.

4 + 5 = 9
x 2 = 18
/ 9 = 2
- 2 = 0
It's +45 x 2 = 90, 90/9 = 10, 10 - 2 = 8
This has to do with the rules on numeric cores you can find.

Okay, thanks, that's good to know.
Weird that it's not consistent with the Mathematics Worksheets then.

It is, you are just reading one number as two.

Yeah, but on the Mathematics Worksheets they are treated as single digits.
