Trophy of Wealth feels unfair (spoilers in spoiler tags)
Non-hidden achievement, Text says "Buy out the entire showroom"

Spoilers below:
I got to 190 coins and had the Showroom and another room that had something for sale for 110 coins(don't want to spoil that one). I chose to spend the 190 on the showroom thinking it would get me the trophy. It did not, because there was a hidden extra 100g charge to get the trophy.

I considered the trophy might now be unlocked for purchase after a reset, but it was not.

This feels pretty bad because all the information I had available to be was that 190g would get me the trophy, and especially bad because I would just have spent the 110g elsewhere(on a permanent effect) if I couldn't do it here.

I get thematically why it costs money, but I feel at least it should be a perma-unlock in the showroom once you've bought everything else.

If you don't have the treasure trove built up by drafting multiple times or a hefty daily Allowance then try and draft a Freezer...make sure you freeze enough to cover that extra 100 gold for the trophy and anything else you need.
Something similar happened to me, had to buy it on another run, but there's a couple of ways to get a lot of money during a run potentially infinite if you have the time and more than a couple of ways to save it for a next run.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, OP. It's a kick in the face.
Yeah, it sucks. Give players a one-time-ever bonus, and then move the goalpost. A kick in the nuts.

I had the Master Key (the most expensive Showroom item) stored in the Coat Check so it wouldn't spawn. I did mine the day after using a Freezer (my allowance is over 50), meaning I already started the day with over 100. I think I had gotten the Vault two days in a row too, bringing me closer to 200 gold in one day.

It might be possible to use the Moon Pendant to try to keep a couple of Showroom items so you have less to buy the next day. Trading Post might help with that.

Getting The Sail constellation in the Observatory (50% off shops) should help. As far as I know it applies to the Showroom too.

If you're able to spawn a Mail Room and Showroom on one of the days after you ace the exam, you'll get a 200 gold prize. Personally I would save this since there's something in the Gift Shop that costs 400.

You could also try to run the Chapel and fill out the piggy bank as much as possible and then just shatter it when you have 250-300 saved up.

I guess as a last resort, there's always the Casino. There's a better slot machine if you bring the broken lever in.

Yeah, I wasted the keeper of tithes in exactly this way.

Wait, what?

i mean it's also a trophy which is a "go the extra mile" kinda thing, which makes me be less critical of it

Since you have been spoiled, I will tell you it can only be done once. You can unlock the keeper of the Tithes (the piggy bank) and it will remain there until you break it open. It's actually kind of cute. A bit of a shame.
If you want to boost your odds of handling it, the Purse and purse upgrade item DO apply to allowance money. So if you ensure you have it available at the beginning or near beginning of the run (such as by making the coat check a common rarity and then leaving it in there) you can get a nice boost to your early cash.

And, if you really want to push your gold to the absolute maximum, the gold upgrade to the Bunk Room for doubling your money also applies money earned for the sake of Purse items. So the Bunk Room with Purse functionally triples your current gold when you get it. I've had almost 800 gold at an early part of my day just based on a starting 100ish allowance thanks to that. Buy out the entire showroom and have enough left over for the Blue Tents.

I would feel the same if getting half the trophies wasn't required for a bunch of late-game stuff :(

It's a one-time thing? Damn. Lucky me I haven't broken it yet. Unlucky me I have such a high allowance that gold has become a complete non-issue already, now that the big-spender achievement is done.
I wouldn't worry too much about the trophy. You'll have much better ways of maintaining more gold than you'll know what to do with eventually, just make sure you take the Nurse's Station upgrade for now.

Oh, I don't mind being spoiled on something like that. Just was a surprise
