Tunnel of Crates

Okay, so I find out that apparently one of the tunnels in the outer grounds (with the crates) actually leads someplace, but I need to clear the crates first. I'm assuming the axe, but I think I used up the axe already. Does anyone know if there's an alternate item I can find to clear out the crates? Or am I Dead in the water on this one?

I'm on late game at the moment, actually, fairly late to the point that I just need one more sanctum key, one more red letter, and where the microchips are. (those I DO know.

ls The chips' location is in a new clue, as is what to do with them aside from the obvious place

exact answer for chips location Dig next to the West bridge, break a vase in starting room. That's where the chips are

then what how to figure out what to do with the chips is also in a new clue...but there's more

here's what you have to follow the new clue instructions to take out books and find the directions with what to do with the chips. there is also a bit of sleuthing with the train map needed to use the numbers to figure out which pages/words to look up in each book

explicitly torch the sundial base. from there i don't know how you're supposed to solve it but i brute forced it

crates once you have the chips in the sundial, you unlock satellite dish which gives you more experiment choices in the lab, one of the reward/actions is "remove crates from tunnel"
