Stuck - Boiler Room Power?
I think I'm stuck trying to get power to various rooms. I have NEVER successfully got power to any of the rooms that need it. I just never get the option to put the rooms next to each other (and I know about the ducts.)

Right now I seem to just be restarting runs trying to get the Boiler room next to ANYTHING useful. It's quite frustrating. Am I doing something wrong?

They don't have to be next to each other, if another criteria is met, though you mention part of it. I leave it as a spoiler in case you dont want the answer.

some rooms have vents/electrical pipes that can be used to connect rooms that arent themselves connected.

Otherwise its just getting a run where the rooms are available to you.

Make sure you have power running through a door when drafting when possible, as that increases the chances of getting another room that needs power or can act as a conduit.

Yeah, I noticed the ducts, but I've literally restarted the last 20 runs or so because I never get power next to anything useful. I've solved everything else I can find, I know that I'm looking for more safes, but I haven't seen any that I can't open. I've been to the basement and solved a bit down there, but I can't find anything new to solve there either. Basically completely stuck, and it's kind of ruining the game for me that I just have to keep restarting and clicking through to try and get power somewhere. I assume that I also need to get the car keys on the same run I connect power to the garage? Which seems insane to try.

I also got into the orchard, and dug up the thing near the campsite. I am officially out of puzzles. (apart from the one in the lab which is unpowered.)

You only need utility box for garage. Nothing else. Keys are for car trunk only and dont require anything else if that is all you want from it.

I dont know the answer. Maybe just to show that something is needed to create power. But, as mentioned, there is more sources than just the 1 room.
Besides lucking out and drawing Boiler next to room that needs it, I've found Locker Room and Passageway great ways to connect to things you need power to. Their default rarity seems fairly common, just don't waste them before you need them.

Dark Room is common and can connect it as well, but you'll want to cancel out it's negative effect via Utility Closet or Shelter.

Well, as i said, you only need utility closet for that specific room. Which you will get every single run.

Yes, I just did that now, thanks. It was just an upgrade disk though, so I'm still stuck.

I just got boiler room this playthrough, but again, didn't connect to anything that had ducts/power. VERY ANNOYING, guess I'll restart again.
You got an upgrade disk from opening the garage door?
You dont need power to open the car trunk/boot.

I'm confused about what you opened by powering the garage with the utility closet

No, I got an upgrade disk by opening the car boot. Regardless of what I do in the utility room, the garage door won't open. I think the garage needs power to open the door.

Correct. When you have power running through a door, you will get a different "energized" room display which super strongly boosts the odds of getting stuff that either is vents or needs power.
