where did you end the day?
I actually ended the day in Her Lady's Chamber.
Does that matter? Did I discover something? It was so beautiful I just had to call it a day there.
Can you send me a friend request, I wish to have a chat about this.
this is intended behaviour. perhaps there is something in that room that could shed some light
I don't know.
All I seen in the room of note was a locket and locked diary. It was literally my first time even seeing the room so I called it a day in there lol.
So I have absolutely not a clue why I have a step penalty other than MAYBE it has to do with that condition about not staying overnight in the manor.
Other than that completely clueless.
Only that what room you end your day in is something to consider. And that you discovered something much earlier than I did.
I never called it a day in her ladyships bedroom.
I sent you a friend invite. I want to discuss this away from prying eyes.
This SO annoys me.
I keep bumbling into things with no understanding of what is happening.
First it was the microchips and now this.
I wish I understood.
Once you figure out how to unlock the diary it will tell you want is actually happening.
At the very least put it in spoilertags.
Ok thank you. My concern was it was a bug. I'm not so sure 10 steps for 1 star is a fair trade. How hard would you say it is to get the key to the diary? I've seen this room ONCE and that was this time and that's what happened to me.
you won't stumble on the key by accident. there are some conditions you must meet to get to it. here's some hints and answers i hope you find useful. spoilers ahead!
who does this room belong to?
answer: Her Ladyship Clara Epsen
where is Lady Clara Epsen now? have you seen any memos regarding her?
answer: she is buried in the Tomb
you will need to use a certain item to unlock the area where the diary key is. what kind of map object have you seen in the Tomb and in several other areas across the estate that can be interacted with? something related to tombs, funerals, and mourning?
answer: you will need to light the candles in the Tomb
how do you do this?
answer: craft a Burning Glass in the Workshop, or purchase a Torch from the Armory
and once you have the key, how do you get back to Her Ladyship's Chamber? where did you draft this room before, and does that location have any significance? have you read anything about laws of drafting?
hint: the Conservatory has a list of special rooms that can only be drafted under specific conditions
answer: Her Ladyship's Chamber must be drafted on the West Wing from a south facing door
