Bug - Unable to buy Metal Detector

I am currently unable to buy the Metal Detector, or find it, on any run. finding it odd that I didn't find one for about 10 in game days, I decided to request one using the security console. When I checked the commissary it was listed as "Owned" in spite of me not actually owning it.

I tried this over multiple runs, with the game always saying "owned" when it comes to buying it.

Would like to make some items that i've made before in the workshop, but i'm not able to do so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you happen to place the Metal Detector (or one of the contraptions made from the Metal Detector) in the Coat Check? I ran into something similar with the Magnifying Glass and I'm pretty sure it was caused by having it stored there.

So I thought this might be it, as I made the "Glass burner" and it is in the coat check, but I am still able to find Magnifying Glass on runs. Maybe me still being able to get the magnifying glass is the bug, and the metal detector is working as intended. Well only 1 more thing to do with the burner (That I know of ) So i guess i'll do that then trash it.

I checked a different contraption and was still able to find its components on future runs. This sounds. I don't appear to have checked the burning glass though so it may be a bug specific to that.

Ok, I can confirm once I pulled out the Bruning Glass and let it die on that run, the metal detector re-appeared. So yes, I still believe it's bugged, considering what Celebrim said. I'll make other contraptions and take note if I can find their specific component while that contraption is in the coat check.
