Pump Room How do you move water form tank 1 to tank 2 directly?

I am struggling to figure out how to move water from tank 1 into tank 2 directly.

Is this just not possible? From the diagram it certainly shows it is possible.

This pump puzzle is slow and frustrating.

You can walk around behind the two tanks.
But as far as I am aware, you can't easily move from tank 1 to 2 directly.
You just have to tediously pump between a third room that accepts both.

Oh that's annoying but I think I get why it is being done that way. (stops you from draining reservoir easily)

I now filled Greenhouse, Kitchen, Pool, and drained Aquarium and Reservoir part way. I think I need the reserve tank to fully drain Reservoir.
