Empty parlor boxes
Using coat check and upgrades, I had three wind keys. When I opened all three boxes, they were empty. Is this something to bug report or punishing hubris?

Do you remember what puzzle it was?

Because there's been a couple I swore I was correct on, but opened and didn't find a prize...

Blue: The gems are in a box with a false statement
White: The Blue box is false
Black: The White box is false

Should be in the white box there. But if you opened all three, thats interesting.

could be a failsafe? u should only have 2 so the second u open 2 the last one will be empty. i can see it happen aswel if u only have 1 key and would cheat open a box or have another key all others are prob empty

No, because I've done this before and gotten the gems.

If you open all three boxes you should get the gems, just for the dedication to your cheating ways. I'd say it's a bug otherwise..but are you sure you didn't just get the gems and forget about it while roaming around in the rooms before coming back to open the third box? It would be a very unlikely bug to have when there's no reason for the game to remove the gems from the correct box ever, in normal circumstances..

I think it would be in blue box?
White is true (Blue box is false)
Blue is false (Gems in true box)
Black is false (White box is true)

It should be in the white box. The only two T/F combinations that are valid are:
Blue True, White False, Black True
or
Blue False, White True, Black False
..in both these cases, white has to contain the gems.

Every other combination of True/False has a contradiction or isn't according to the rules.

So far I've opened 40+ and only once didn't I find the gems, and that was only because I was incorrect that time I realized afterwards. Now I list out all the possible T/F combinations, eliminate the ones that have contradictions and then only consider the remaining. It's a bit of work but I can be sure I get the right answer.

It's not necessarily cheating, though, if the game rules so easily allow it. You can dupe the parlor and upgrade it to have 2 keys and use the coat check. So, that's a possible 5 keys in one run.
It's happened again. Perhaps it's the speed at which I'm unlocking the boxes? I can't think of anything else that would affect it.

Doesn't sound like cheating to me. Though I suppose it could be considered an exploit loophole to be closed by the dev if they did think so. Seems like you played it smart to do something mildly clever (which 2 gems is not a huge prize for but could help in a specific gem oriented run I suppose...I am still learning the strategies of this game myself.)

I've seen a couple people point this out and I'm pretty sure its intentional to stop you from just coat checking keys to bypass the puzzle.
