Book Shop Secret Maybe?
Spoilers I guess? So the bookshop directory image does not match the interior of the drafted room, suggesting the book case has been rotated. A new clue book has a sign pointing to that book case too but so far I'm stumped on how to get it to open, anyone wiser than me found out yet?

Hmm, I remember having this thought but not seeing anything when looking closer but I'll have to take another look next time I draft it.

I will say though while the arrow could have multiple meanings, it is explicitly used in another puzzle that is pictured throughout the book.
Yeah, A New Clue is so dense it's hard to know which clue matches which. On that same page there's also the clocks, but that hint is also used elsewhere. I also recall waiting in that room for ages without anything happening.

Yeah that book is responsible for probably 5 hours of wasted time for me. I found the plug-in piece by smashing the pots in the entryway then spent several more hours trying to do that to everything else similar I found in the house. 🥴
While at the same time the book is mocking you for trying so hard to make sense of the clues it gives you! This whole operation was your idea mom! Great parenting.
Maybe it needs to have a window? it's drawn that way in the drafting book nr1. Maybe it only works if it doesn't have a window?

Maybe putting it as the outer room?

I was trying to draft it as one of the lower corner rooms last night but didn't have any luck.

The Book Shop also very clearly has books laid out as if it is a Mora Jai puzzle box.
I assume with a goal to make all Purple/Violet/Eraja Corners :

This is also what the room looks like drafted in the bottom left corner (East Wing)

Looking at it in the Drafting Directory, it looks like it'd need to be placed in the top right corner.

Following up here, managed to get it in the same alignment in the top right and the room is the same, so far as I can tell :

Here's a screenshot inside the room :

I can think of one other thing to try, but it'll take a bit to get it right.

Yes clearly! whoah great spotting! But now what to do with that info. Since most of those boxes disappear after being solved, I guess the primary suspects are those few boxes that do remain. I'll see if any of those match.

Edit: Mmm the only one with blue tiles I know about vanishes after solving. The ones that dont vanish don't have blue, so there's no obvious reference to a place here.

Myself I've been mulling over the newspaper clipping that has the bold words LASTING HOPE, which feels like there's an anagram there. Sadly i'm terrible with word puzzles like that.

HEALING SPOT?
POSTAL HINGE?

It does have EIGHT in there, but that also only leaves us with ONSLAP to mix around otherwise.

STEP, ALIGN, and SPOT are all in there but leave you with LAINGHO, STHOPE, and LAINGHE, respectively.
Align Shop? TE? ET?

Edit: And thanks for your quick efforts! that would have taken me ages.

I can't find any room that shortens to T.E. or E.T. Closest thing to a Te I can find here is the Terrace.

Healing Spot might be the sauna? Or a relation to the elsewhere mentioned West Spring?
Working on the puzzle, it's surely a puzzle for violet (or do you read pink?) corners. It's the only colour you can make 4 of. Small spoiler: blue tiles imitate the action of the central tile so everyone can join in the puzzling.

The question of Violet v Pink merits some more talking about. Previously we took hint from violet (bedroom) books, but we do have pink (New Clue) book now we could read words from. And clearly the colour would impact the way we solve the puzzle. I'm going to assume it's Violet first though.

Assuming we can solve this, "A New Clue" has a way to assign letters to colours?
I assume the fastest way to solve would yield some a code like Violet Violet Green Violet Black Violet. But do we even have black or blue books? Ah yes, Rune and Realm and an Architecture book?
