But yes that place also does require waiting for a specific time and making sure you stand in a correct spot which is a little bit of a pain.
The only rooms (as far as I know) that care about timing are
The Shelter -- You need to set the time lock safe for at least an hour ahead of your current time and date.
The Clock Room -- Secret passage opens at 1:30 PM
The Old Tomb -- Part of the puzzle here only opens if you meet special conditions AND it's 1:30
Room 46 -- Getting here in under an hour in-game time rewards a trophy
The Music Room -- If drafted very late into the day, will reward a Sanctum Key.
as for the second part is there some way to know where I have to stand? dont give me the answer I just want to know if theres a proper solution or if its just bs
edit: also I'm assuming this spot is IN THE DEN but I figure ill also confirm that
If you look around in the clock tower you might find something out of place or peculiar.
there's a certain symmetry that might be broken
take a look at the clocks face outside
next one is the answer
you'll need to be there at 1:30, one of the clock faces is stopped at that time. there appears to be an importance with this time
also afaik i haven't run into any puzzle in the den yet, but dunno if that will change
The only reason I say the stand in the correct spot thing, is when I was doing this, I waited for the correct time and nothing happened and thought I screwed up and got it wrong until I moved to slightly different part of the room (there's some leeway it appears, doesn't have to be perfectly on time)
Maybe it doesn't need to be a certain spot, maybe you just have to be actively moving a bit so you couldn't have just idled in the room and had it activate randomly?
It's the older tomb , I think the game may call it The Crypt.
It's in the area that's revealed after you perform a 'castle' with the chess pieces
First two spoilers there are hints
Third warns the 4th is the answer
4th is the answer.
5th is talking about the Den.
As far as both me and the other poster can tell, no.
I think there are a few red herrings that make it seem like the Den has more going on than it does.
It's around 5 minutes.
Feels like an eternity if you're just sitting there and waiting
Goes quick when you're shooting for the 'reach 46 in under an hour' runs.
I do wish the game had a QoL feature to let you just wait until a later time.
i feel like it could go even beyond a QoL thing
like they could have incorporated a "wait" into the game to regain some steps (since you're technically exhausting yourself and that's what steps represents)
i mean obviously not as a "get steps whenever you want" feature, but maybe once a day after meeting some conditions, you can find any one of the bedrooms to rest at or something. the ui could even be cleverly concealed to indicate you're always going to rest an hour, but maybe you could fiddle around with it to actually set the time once you discover that being at certain times and places is important
the resting would then start to have multiple purposes as well as requiring just a bit of thought about drafting a bedroom if you wanted to do it
Or, if the specific spot is indeed part of the puzzle and there is indeed a hint somewhere for it, someone please tell me that.
😭😭
I've tried standing in front of the stopped clock upstairs, downstairs on the stone engraving, facing specific directions according to the swan sculpture, ... to no avail.
Downstairs on the stone engraving. I was looking in the direction of the long arrow, not sure if it matters tho
