I personally stopped bothering with it until they release a big patch or something.
The only thing that comes to mind is that might be something related to sound because there are slight sound disruptions before a crash happens.
I have an i9-13900KS and I had frequent crashes until I addressed the mistakes Intel made with this generation of CPUs. They basically run themselves too hard and burn out, causing permanent damage that then causes crashes. Worse yet, the damage builds up over time and degrades the CPU permanently.
I have now fixed it, and my system has gone from frequent crashes to the point that games are unplayable, to basically no crashes. In this game I have 40 hours no crashes.
What I have done is used Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility to downclock from 55x multiplier to 52x, and increased the core voltage to always be +0.25v. I have also turned off the dynamic overclocking that the mobo does, turbo-boost or whatever it's called. That is the feature causing the damage on the CPU's in the first place. Those numbers may not be right for you, but you can turn that stuff off in the bios and try similar downclocking/upvolting (slowly, a little at a time) for your system and I believe you will see improvement.
No, the patch Intel put out was *not* enough to resolve the issue.
If you think I'm full of bull, this guy made several videos covering the issues 9 mo ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afN6SaT21cQ
Get sound stutter when adjusting Win volume or tabbing out with win key to take notes, screenshot etc. Nothing like this happen with any other games (Steam or GOG) or apps generally i can think of.
Today tabbing out resulted in frozen screen with that loud “sound-buggy“ clicking sound.
PC was non responsive. No reaction to ctrl-alt-del so had to turn it off manually.
After restarting the game the day i was on restarted from the beginning.
Given the absolute MUST of freely switching between this game and other apps for notes etc this i a pretty big deal..
Tried this. Game still crashes. Tried downgrading my driver. Still crashing.
It ain't a game issue, that I can tell.
My gf literally installed to her old ass hp laptop, works fine.
