Dare mode improvement suggestions.
Instant loss dares aren't really fun at all.
For example, "Only two special items" is really easy to accidentally slip and fail from a misclick or simply not knowing major keys count as special items. If you really want to keep this dare as is, make special items impossible to pick up at the limit, or at least add some leeway like it only checks when you take a step.

Personally I think special items could easily be assigned weights (eg keys 0-1, small items 1-3, shovel/metal detector 5), and the prince could then have a modest inventory limit that grows with allowance, and a dare with a fixed inventory limit would be very appropriate.

The dare of "you must buy exactly 1 item from stores" is reasonable on the surface, but the Aquarium instantly screws you over then. The aquarium clearly "counts" as a store, which makes sense and is a nice synergy with eg. store based experiments, but here the lack of sales screws over the player.

My suggestion would be to make Aquarium actually behave as all types of room that have a house-wide modifier/item, plus the last non-blue room you were in when drafted, and those relevant tanks are lit up.
Bedroom modifier/sleep mask: one gem, a few coins, or a fruit.
Hallway modifier/hall pass: one key, chance of being a prism key.
Green room modifier/shovel: the dig spot that's right now always there, and make it never trash.
Shop modifier/coupon book: an actual shop, I'm thinking rare small items like allowance token, wrench, lucky foot, vault key, etc. Or maybe just buy clams with random minor items.
Red room modifier/Magnifying glass: A clue letter I guess?

I have the ultimate bad combo for dare mode: must enter all drafted red rooms + buy 1 item at each shop. If I draft aquarium without another red option it's a forced loss

Yeah it seems bugged thay aquarium counts as a red room, no other red rooms have a gem cost so if you dont have a gem available at all times you instantly lose if you cant draft it. The interaction with shops sound really bad i think i will steer clear of this mode.

Dare just doesn't sound fun to me. Even unlocking it and requiring a save slot
I got dare done but it was a pain.
It really should give you a warning if an action would cause you to fail a dare.

I just want the game over for dare mode skippable! For the love of Pete, after we see it the first time I don't need to waste a full minute waiting for sad Swim Bird and listening to sad Simon. Let me get to the retry, please!
